The role

MEND seeks a motivated individual to join our Partnership Development team. Passionate about the MEND Programme, they will develop project proposals for collaborating with local partners to address childhood obesity throughout Great Britain.

A proactive change agent, this key team member, will forge productive working relationships with Primary Care Trusts, Local Authorities, Government Offices, regeneration companies, voluntary sector organisations, and private sector partners. Reporting to our Partnership Development Manager, they will expand MEND’s activities by positioning the MEND Programme as a central component of local obesity strategies.

Main Responsibilities Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Proactive development of working relationships across a portfolio of customers and partners.
  • Maintaining transparent, accurate, records of activities and contacts.
  • Engaging public and private organisations at the regional level to build strategic partnerships.
  • Professional management of existing client relationships to deliver the highest level of satisfaction by exceeding expectations.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews quarterly to track progress against objectives and define forward work plans.
  • Inform the continuous improvement of MEND’s services by relaying feedback from project partners and participants.
  • Support the development of MEND Graduate services by helping organise reunions, peer mentoring and exit strategies for graduates.
  • Represent MEND at relevant external meetings, conferences and seminars.
  • Contribute to the organisation of biannual regional MEND conferences for delivery teams.

Location: Based at MEND’s central office in London (SE1), the role involves travel throughout the UK.
Pay and benefits: £30,000 plus per annum (depending on experience)
